Spring Walks

Experience the beauty of spring on Lesvos with daily walks of about three hours through varied landscapes.
Discover orchids, wildflowers, ancient sites, hidden chapels, tranquil beaches, and picturesque villages.
Each walk ends with a meal at a countryside taverna, where you’ll enjoy local specialities.
The theme for spring ’26 is “Ouzo, the Spirit of Lesvos.”
All overnights are at the cozy Villa Daphnis & Chloe.
April History Week

We’ll repeat the successful theme from 2025, exploring the fascinating times from Alexander the Great to the Roman Empire (Hellenistic & Roman period). Through daily walks, engaging conversations, lectures, and films, we’ll bring history to life in a relaxed and immersive way. Join us for a week of discovery, storytelling, and shared meals in true Votsala style.

Our Tito (lesvosride.com) will guide experienced riders and those eager to level up through the island’s hidden trails—olive groves, mountain paths, and coastal roads.

September History Week
13 - 20 of September 2026
(Overnight Trip: Chios Island, Greece)
This week we’ll explore the Byzantine period, focusing on art, architecture, and culture. Through walks, lectures, and shared stories, history comes alive in a relaxed and lively way. A highlight is an overnight trip to Chios, visiting medieval villages, Byzantine churches with 11th-century mosaics, and discovering a beautiful new island.
Join us for a week of history, exploration, and good company in true Votsala style.
Autumn Walks
11-18 of October 2026
Experience the serene beauty of post-summer nature as temperatures cool and the sea remains inviting. Join our daily 3-4 hour walks through diverse landscapes, exploring ancient sites, hidden chapels, tranquil beaches and enjoy authentic Greek meals. Participate in our olive harvesting and taste the freshly pressed olive oil.

African Drumming

Join Gerda, an inspiring woman from Germany, as she guides you through the vibrant world of African drumming. Immerse yourself in a journey of rhythm, culture, and fun!
Stay at Hotel Votsala and enjoy 4 hours of drumming a day, under the fig tree, into the olive garden or by the sea - a perfect mix of music, energy, and relaxation.
Tango Escape

Tango lessons, Milongas, and morning Yoga, paired with delicious local food, exciting excursions, and plenty of relaxation. Optional cooking classes and historical tours complete this unique mix of culture, fun, and connection.
